Metro Fair Housing Services, Inc. (Metro)
Metro Fair Housing is a private, not-for-profit, fair housing organization whose primary purpose is to prevent housing discrimination in the Metropolitan Atlanta area and throughout the state of Georgia.
What is Fair Housing
The Federal Fair Housing Act was approved in 1968.
This Act prohibits housing discrimination based on membership in the following protected classes:
- Race
- Color
- National Origin
- Religion
- Sex (Gender)
- Familial Status (the presense of children under the age of 18)
- Disability
